This is a picture of Dick and Margie Motzer, taken at the woodcarving show, Artistry In Wood, in Dayton, Ohio. Dick displays many of his award-winning carvings at this show. He will also display his latest carvings. Dick was honored by receiving the Ron Ryan Award. This is a very prestigious award presented by Dayton Carvers Guild to people have promoted the art of wood carving. They present it to one person every year at the banquet for Artistry in Wood Show, and there is only 14 who have received this honor. The Dayton Carvers guild holds it’s annual show two weekends before Thanksgiving in November at The Expo Center at the Dayton International Airport in Dayton, Ohio. Woodcarvers from all over the United States come together this weekend for competition, and to display and sell their carvings.
